She went on missionary trips to Russia, Africa, South America and Australia. She completed ministry training at Calvary Chapel, Albuquerque and in England.
Karla was a devout Christian and was a member of Washed by the Word Church, where she had many loyal friends. Karla was interested in drama and volunteered with Albuquerque Little Theatre and later worked in puppet ministry. She was employed by Presbyterian Hospital in the real estate division. She graduated from Eldorado High School and Eastern New Mexico University. Her early years were spent in Farmington, Michigan and she moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1967. Karla was born on Main Pontiac, Michigan to Kenneth Lachmann and Wilma Brandenburg Lachmann. Karla Ann Lachmann, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 13.
